Do you solder all your electrical connections?
Wondering if Im the only one here that solders every single electrical connectionor if others are like that too. I hate people who just wrap wires together and throw on some electrical tape. Even regular butt connectors drive me nuts.
I solder everything, and then use shrink wrap with a heat gun to make it look clean and smooth. It takes longer but i at least have the satisfaction of knowing it dones right.

It depends on what I'm doing. If it's critical the wires get soldered properly. If it's not and it's easy to get to later I either use crimp connectors of one type or another, or strip out a long section of wire insulation on the two, wrap them, and wrap with electrical tape.
For what it's worth, I've NEVER had anything fail due to a bad connector or wrapped connection. That's probably because I only use those methods when common sense tells you that they'll never fail in that application.

Depends on the application.
1.solder will make the connection more brittle than just crimping, never just tape together. if your wires are not 100% secure, like a circut board or wraped in a harness that is secured down, then do not solder just crimp them so that they have flexibilty. otherwise your solder will break (over time) when the wire vibrates.
2.crimped connector are plenty strong enough and have felxibility. for added comfort you can shrinkwrap or electrical tape wrap afterwards.

Depends on what Im workin on, say a deck install I will crimp connect the wires or in another case when i did my motor swap I hacked the hell outa an elantra harness an all those wires were soldered and heat shrink wrapped. I have never had a problem with either.
