different dyno types
i was looking for local dynos, and there is this one place that has a dyno that bolts directly to the axles, rather than a rolling-chassis type. here's the link to the shop's page.

does anyone have any experience with these or any thoughts? they say that with this type, since there isn't any possibility for slipping, they can hold the engine at a certain rpm and throttle opening for tuning that particular point, which sounds like it could be really useful.

The type that replaces your wheels are best for tuning. They can be set to hold the engine at a certian RPM, and allow you to tune at various throttle positions, but keep RPM constant. The dyno figures (Power/Torque) are usually a tad lower than on a inertia dyno(dynojet).

even though inertia dynos tend to report a higher measurement, are the inertia type dynos more or less accurate than the type i'm talking about, where the hubs are where the power is being measured?
