Default AutoCross Hyundai's

Just curious who all autocross's their cars here. I do, I was hoping Random would start a forum specifically for that event. I am the only one who does it consistently here in Winniopeg, but I wanted to know anyone else's experience with Tire setups, pressures, KYB, Koni, 225's, R-compounds, over steer, under steer etc.

Is anyone else for this?

There should be a local SCCA chapter in your area.

As for tire setups and such, I run stock wheels, (tire pressure at max), with the Eibach Pro-kit.

I haven't had a chance to do anything with my suspension yet, but I do AutoX.
Right now, stock tires between 40-44psi.

I did good at the last event...I started with a 49.896 and ended with a 46.016.

I was very happy.

I plan to get into AutoX seriously this summer. The local motorsports club here holds events all through the summer.
I've only actually done it once before, but it was so much damn fun, and I should have my car set up nicely for this season.

Actually, that's not true north of the 49th parallel, i.e. outside of America. For Canadian info, check out http://www.asncanada.com/index2.html wink

YOUR 225'S ARE TOO HUGE!!! Hehe tongue.gif
I found that when I ran 44psi up front and 38psi in the rear was a good setup for me. Anymore than 38psi, the backend was too loose. But then again, I have 205/50/15's, not your mamouth 225's

I autocross too, though I only started last season. I was hoping to do all the events for my local club this year but it looks like I'm going to miss the first half, what with the Iraq stuff going on.

Wow, thanks guys, alot of responses. I run my tires at 44 psi, right at the max, they grip well enough but the suspension takes a dump. I got a vid on my page if you are interested.

I am not sure if I will continue to dump money into it or get a new one, we will see.
