Just because you own a manual doesn't mean that you know how to drive a manual...at least not properly...

Unfortunately i have a Auto... It's terrible I hate it. But it's a good transmission.
Can't blame me though. You really can't. I learned to drive stick in Europe, and drove on my dad's stick Elantra dn sister's Stick Excel. I love stick shift. BUT:
1. I was a Senior in High School at the time. I didn't know any better.
2. The car is 1 owner used. Out of the 10 tiburons in a row I had to choose, (that's right, 10 all in a line from the same seller), half were Stick and half were Auto. 5 out of all 10 were 1.8L. I wanted a 2.0 FX.
I also wanted one with everything. Maxed out options, FX, 2.0, power everything--you name it. Out of the stick shift tiburons, none of them had sunroofs. Out of the 2.0 FX's, only one of them was fully loaded, Leather, Sunroof, Foglights, CD player...etc. That was the one I chose. I figured I'd settle for an Automatic and have all the goodies a tiburon has to offer.
So now I'm stuck with an Auto 1997 FX... but i've been quite happy nevertheless. The transmission is GREAT. The car has NEVER given me one engine problem and it has 105,000 Miles on it, it runs like new, it's in great condition, and it's been through so many beatings yet no signs of wear and tear. I cannot swap the transmission because this one is problem free. I did not have an option. Some people have options whent hey buy their cars new. The one I got was used but I DO NOT regret buying it. It saved me so much money and it still looks great!
Autos suck... I really really really wanted a stick and I might convert it when I get some better income, but for now It's an Automatic and I'm backing it up. laugh.gif

Autos are for people that couldn't find a manual...at least I think on here anyway...
Thats when you be patient and wait...ide rather have friends drive me around for 2 months until I found a 5spd than buy an auto and kick myself in the ass the rest of the time i had it.
Unless ofcourse, you wanted an auto tongue.gif
BTW: Im own a 5spd

^^That's RIGHT! AUTOMATICS UNITE!!!!...just realized that ryhmed...was unintended...
And as for MK3's comment...I don't think that the people with auto's would necessarily be on this site if they waited til they found a manual because they wouldn't have necessarily ended up with a tib.
