Alrightly, so i'll be getting the money from selling my truck in about 3 weeks, which is about 2200$. cool.gif I'll be dropping a hefty 1800$ in the tib. One of things on my list is the XTD Stage 3 clutch/flywheel combo. I've read in the clutch review thread and all over import sites it's good. (Few bad ones, but hey, someones bound to get at least one bad one) However, in the clutch review thread, it noted a HVP puck clutch (I'd assume simliar to XTD's) that it dug a deep score in the flywheel. Now I don't want this to happen, and would like this clutch to at least last 15K-20K. Anyone had that problem with the XTD?
Oh, in case your wondering what else I want...

SSAutochrome catback/headers
B&M Short Throw Shifter
Going to see about head work
OBX underdrive pullies
Maybe new wing... (Shark Wing)
And whatever else yall recomend I should get. Remember about 1800$ budget. Maybe 2000$ hehe.

Thanks guys! laugh.gif

For NA? Stick to a Stage 2 or something. 3 is not worth the driveability unless you need it for 200+hp.

Well, My friend has a ACT stage 4 in his CRX with everything but a turbo, and I like it, just I'd have to get used to it. I've read mostly bad reviews on XTD's stage 2, and it doesn't include a flywheel. I'm just wondering if the stage 3 will eat the flywheel. I was goning to get the fidanza LWFW but XTD's clutch kit comes with one...11lbs which is lighter than stock. I plan on a turbo awhile from now... maybe within the next year. I know I'll need a clutch by then though. I just like the stage 3 setup. So...does the stage 3 destroy the flywheel?

id get an ACT street disc kit, or a southbend street disk kit. i would bother with a stage 2+ puc style clutch on an N/A tib, nor would i spend money on XTR, XTD, HVP, ZFRVFD clutches on ebay.

but, its your money.

if you read bad reviews on the stage II, its gonna be the same for the stage III. they are the same crappy discs from god knows where.

stage really means nothing, especially with ebay parts like that.

buy a name brand clutch, not some ebay clutch, especially if you plan on boosting.

i recommend ACT.

and with your 2k$. heres what i would do..

sell the tib and buy something else.. LOL.. no, just kidding..

1) megan header
2) custom catback
3) megan shifter
4) KJB base and shifter bushings
5) pulley set
6) TB porting
7) B&G springs
8) ACT street clutch kit
9) chromoly flywheel
10) DIY/free IM porting

Alrighty well I cant find much from ACT. I did find this, http://www.raceinspired.com/p-7440-act-hea...-1997-2004.aspx

Which i'd assume is a stage 2. No pilot bearing. I would need that....
Not many sites have ACT clutch kits for hyundai tibs.
And I can't find an ACT flywheel for my tib... I think i'm missing something...

I did find the fidanza, a hefty 379.99 from importshark...

there is no real stages with ACT, this is not fast and the furious..

theres street disc, 6 puc, 4 puc, non sprung 6, non sprung 4, etc.

check prostreetonline.com call them up, and tell them what you need, they will get you fixed up.

i paid 400$ shipped fro my entire kit, PP, disk, and TO bearing for the heavy duty pressure plate, and the 6-puc clutch for my turbo tib.

but that kit in your link comes with EVERYTHING you need, thats exactly what you want.

theres no pilot bearing that you need.

This ACT Heavy Duty Street Clutch Kit Hyundai Tiburon DOHC 4Cyl 1997-2004 includes:

- 1 x ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate
- 1 x ACT Performance Street Disc
- 1 x Release Bearing (RB104)

ACT doesnt make a flywheel for the tib, just get the chromoly one.

fidanza is a waste of money, and the chromoly would be better with turbo than fidanza anyway.

also, ask coal forge about fidanza, haha.
