I usually shift @ around 3200 (exhaust sound is its deepest/loudest right there) daily most of the time. Sometimes I'll wind out first gear to 4000RPM or so. I'll take it to redline maybe once a day for my own enjoyment.

With gas prices rising so fast, I ussually shift now at around 2500 and keep her idle around there. I don't care much for showing off on residential streets, I just keep it economical. If it's on the track, that's another story.

2000-2500 when I need to keep my exhaust really quiet
3000 average, probably 50% of the time
4000-5000 when getting onto highways or speeding up fast

I have a habit of skipping gears regularly. I go from 2nd to 4th and 3rd to 5th a lot, usually because I reach the speed limit.

So how do you get from 2nd to 5th? tongue.gif

I dont know, I might have to change mine a bit. I guess under normal driving conditions I do shift lower than 4k. Mostly because of traffic (or to save gas). If its an open road I do normally shift around 4k. I dont usually pay attention to shift points daily driving... just going by what I beleive I usually shift at smile.gif

I don't, because I reach the speed limit. I'm not going to drive in 5th if it's a 35 or 40 zone.

Hrmm, I'm usually in 5th going as slow as 30mph... gas saver, and when I need the power, downshifting dosent take long lol. Oh, and of course I was joking about 2nd to 5th...
