98% of the time I shift at 2800-3000 RPM. How about you guys?

 

around 6200 rpm

then after shift it drops to around 5700 rpm and I'm still in the 'hot' zone laugh.gif

cold -> 2000 rpm (2500 max)

 

I shift 75% at 2500-3000 RPM
24% I shift at 4000 RPM.

I rarely shift higher then 5000 RPM, oly when I race on trafic lights.

 

Honestly, I do not know. When I shift, it depends on conditions both inside and out of the car. Traffic, weather, how fast I feel like going, how much I want to hear complaints from the passengerside, there is a lot more than just saying I shift at 3 to 4 grand.

 

On normal driving I usually shift at 3500-4k.

 

I make my car shift almost all the time 2500 rpms..

Only when i want to race or impress someone I shift 6500 rpms. ( my car is auto )

 

i generally shift around 3k, and everynow and then if lets say im gettin onto the parkway, ill take it up to 4-5k

 

On ramps with no one in front of me 5800-6200.

Daily Driving 4000.

City I dont shift, just use first gear tongue.gif. Gotta love city traffic...

 

I never really thought about what rpm I shift at. I usually don't look at the tach when I shift, unless I'm getting on it which isn't too often. I'll pay more attention to it when I leave work today.

 

During regular driving ill shift about 2800-3000 RPM but if I feel like going faster or showing off a little bit Ill take it up to redline. It jsut depends on how Im driving
