Default VI Cams

VisionImport Cams have a valve lift for the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon (Stage 2) that is .325, this comes with replacement valve springs and Fuel Pressure Regulator. Is this all that is needed to keep it safe?

I'll be getting a Haltec E6K pretty soon that will be used for tuning my QTB and Turbocharger.

Could you share some of your fabrication ideas on how you plan on running both quad throttle bodies and a turbo?
I'm not saying that it is impossible but..
If your looking for a maximum output engine why not go for no2 and turbo.
My mind is spinning with the plumbing that you have to build.

Well I'm guessing the QTB setup is like ours, except that it has 2 horizontal and 2 vertical TBs...I'm guessing that I can basically hook the turbocharger up to the one on the left side, a custom CAI on the right, and the two vertical, two small K&N Filters or something of that sort...if it can't fit ill try to figure something out.

Thats not how it works, first that is probably a N/A cam which would not be a good idea if you are boosting(too much overlap, etc.). Also you would have to build a plenum/tank around the QTB to run the intercooler pipes to. You can't run the intercooler pipe to one, a CAI to another and 2 more filters to the other two. QTB would basically be a waste on a boosted car unless you are going FULL race, even full race cars don't run QTB & turbo.

Hmmmm...but it is possible right? Driveability is not an issue for me. I'll just have to find a shop that is willing to put in the hours with me.

Haha sorry about going off-topic like that, i have a lot of questions, and only ask em every once and awhile so that I don't clutter the board. But they estimate the hp gains 10-15, driveability is decreased, the total cost without bargaining (i did some bargaining got some money off):

Stage 2 Cams - $330
Fuel Pressure Regulator (with PSI Guage) - $225
Valve Springs - $120
Total: $675

The lift is enough of an increase to need to replace the valve springs, but it' still a lot better *driveable wise* then Stage 3 (Drag car specific) but if you want you can get Stage 1, I don't think you need replacement parts, but itll give a little bit of difference, not sure on price.

Email: matt@visionimports.com

Hope that helps ya. Oh yeh also I was talking to them about doing a group by thing and maybe getting an even bigger discount. Not sure how that would go with people on our beautiful board here, driveability is very important to some people, it isnt to me due to the fact that driveability isnt a real factor in Alaskan racing.
