Hi Every one?
Can anyone let me know wheather i can fix/install a Vaccume gauge without a turbo? At the moment i am having a AEM cola air Intake and i would like to install this gauge. But i heard that it is not possible to install without a turbo unit. So is there any way which i can do this. I'm going to install the following gauges with Vacume gauge.
a)Oil temperature gauge
b) Oil pressure gauge
c) Water temperature gauge
d) Volt meter gauge
e) RPM gauge
Waiting for a response from you
regards

you CAN install a boost/Vacuume gage without a turbo.. but it will NEVER read positive manifold pressure.
Just for reference, the vacuume gage works opposite you might thing. When the throttle is close, you will get MORE vacuume than when you are at wide open throttle.

You can install vacuum/boost gauge. It's usual pressure gauge.
But vacuum gauge will show you only vacuum (pressure below athmosphere pressure). It will not show boost (if installed on turbocharged engine. This type of gauges is for N/A engines.
Boost gauge will show you both vacuum and boost (pressure above athmosphere pressure). This gauges are for turbocharged engines. So if you gonna boost your engine in future it would be better to install boost gauge (that also shows vacuum).
baraboab please do not quote post right above yours. Next time you will get warning for that. Use ADD REPLY button at the bottom.

I installed my Vacuum/Boost Gauge with a "T" fitting on the OEM FPR hose connected to the IM...
As other said... If you are planing to get turbo... get the Turbo gauge instead of getting only the vacuum gauge...

he means you take a fitting in the shape of a T to split a vaccum source into two. as for getting the tube into the cabin from the engine bay, check out the engine section under maintanence in our DIY listing:
