Default V-6 OR THE I-4

I was wondering between the I-4 and the V-6 which engine has more options for mods? I am looking at getting a new Hyundai. But not sure exactly which one. I really like the new Tib. Just wondering
Thanks

The I-4 has MUCH more available right now, and seems to handle the mods much better than the V6. It all really depends on what you want to do to it. If you really want to mod the engine out, go with the I-4, but if you just want to do a few N/A mods like intake/exhaust/etc....then go with the V6.

I've got the V6, but now I kinda wish that I bought the I4 instead. Why? Well, I wanted to do some MAJOR mods to the car (turbo, supercharger, or nitrous) on top of the basic ones to pump out 250+ hp's. Unfortunately for me, I can't go past 250 hp with the V6. My dreams of a 400 hp (yeah, right) Tib are going to have to settle for close to 250 hp.

You have to take into consideration a couple of things first when deciding.
You will have to get a lot of mods to get the I4 up to 250whp
The V6 is very restrictive stock so just putting on a CAI and a custom exhaust will free up A LOT of horses.
Then again if you get the I4 you can use the money that you would have used getting the V6 and buy a turbo or s/c and a crap load of other mods for it.
So, to each his own. It's your decision. smile.gif

i recommend the V-6

Not that many people actually reach the 200WHP mark and not many actually turbo their car.

The V-6 with some basic bolt ons like H/I/E plus a 55 of nitrous, should put you in a good place
