I have and Automatic transmission, well sense 3 days ago, its been screwing up badly, it will not go into "D" or "2" gear all it does it rev up, check the fluid and its fine, i have no idea what is wrong, i have to start in "L" to take off and then manually shift it into "2" then "D", and all it does is delay in each gear, and then when i come to a stop it kicks itself out of gear and i have to start over again it really sucks, anybody got any suggestions on what could be wrong, cause im thinking im gonna need a new transmission

check the fluid again..

clean off the dipstick and check it..

if you see any kind of "glitter" your in trouble..

have the oil replaced.. if it comes out with chunks of oil, your royally screwed man. Hopefully you still have warranty on it.
If so.. TAKE IT BACK.

Sounds like slippage.
Looks like your tranny is dying $$,... I had the same thing happen to me.

Just take it in and have someone check everything out, like Mr.transmission or something.
Wont cost mush to have it checked out, instead of you guessing whats wrong wink1.gif

I haven't done anything to it, it started when i was going up a hill and when it kicked into gear, transmission kicked really hard, and then after i stoped, and then went to leave , it wouldn't go back into gear, so know ive got to start in low and manually shift it, and it jumps all the time, also sometimes i can hear a grinding noise

The only problem with my tranny is when its in 2nd gear about to shift into 3rd, it'll SOMETIME rev up quickly and then shift.

I got the tranny scanned and it looks like it's just a kickdown switch or something.
