Hey has anyone found a new trans for the coupe yet? 1st gen
i've just gone and broken my 3rd, the clutch is still good but our trannies seem to be blowing chunks, has anyone worked with a mitsi transmission?
please help or even a way i can stregthen the original, they are just not holding up.

If its less than 200tq... Ide imagine its driver/installer error. There isnt a trans that you could get ahold of that would bolt up to our blocks. Your best bet is rebuilding and chryotreating your gears.

its a turbo'd 1st gen
the gears shreded, and blew a hole in the bottom of the bell housing, perhaps i need 2 try running an evo setup
ages ago i was asked to buy some dog gears?? any1 remember those?

You might try yanking the gears out and having them shot peened and cryo treated. I don't think anyone has done that yet, might be worth a shot. I think that is what I might do.

lol sorry I didnt know... Some people are idiots tho. Theres a place thats located in my town that does chrytreating, and a place that does whats called "microblue" Its basically makes it vertually friction free. Would be a great decision. Its what im having done to my beta 2 trans. Compliments of faithofadragon.
