Ok So i checked my oil and I need a little bit but for some reason when I start my car or accelerate, it makes a clicking sound, any ideas? If I add more oil do you think it will stop the problem. Sounds like something internal like rod or piston or something moving up and down clicking let me know if you have any ideas....

It's the patented tiburon 'low oil sound'. smile.gif The ticking comes from your HLA's, and can be solved by adding oil.

I agree with Caj. Your injectors may make ticking sound as well but since you said you were low on oil Caj would have my bet.

It's actually kind of nice, I always know when I'm low on oil because I'll hear it ticking, especially before the engine is warmed up.

haha yup lmao.gif put oil in and it completely dissapeared after a few minutes of running. Then on the way home another freaking problem mad.gif Car started overheating, would heat up then go back down the back up then back down. Stopped and checked for leaks and of course what do you know, coolant was coming from somewhere along the radiator, do we have any hoses on the bottom of the radiator, or just the top? When I turned the car off, it smoked from the pass side of the radiator, any more ideas?

Sounds like your water pump went out. It's leaking from the weep hole.

there is a lower hose, but its on the drivers side of the radiator.. take off the middle splash guards and see if thats where it is leaking from. didn't you recently get in a front end accident? did they replace radiator?

if the weep hole is the weird looking hole with the rubber O ring around it on the bottom of the radiator then I think that is where it is coming from, does that sound about right? And was in a front end accident 5 months ago and problems just occured now, and no they did not replace the radiator.

If the water pump did go out, I would just have to replace that correct and then the radiator should be fine? Or should I get a compression test done on the radiator just to be sure? Would the water pump going out cause smoke to come from the radiator?
