UPDATE:

well i picked up a genuine oil filter from the hyundai dealership saturday. a mechanic there said that although he hasnt been working there all that long, he's already seen about 5 or 6 tibs with the same problem. oil light comes on, knocking noise ,no oil pressure. he said the filter change fixed all of them. so i brought the filter home, changed it and have been driving it since saturday and theres been no problem since. i guess it was the filter. thanks for all the help guys. cool.gif

but today i noticed my right front wheel seems to be making a weird noise, usually when i take right turns is when its most noticeable. i had the tie rod and lower ball joint changed in november, so i dont think its that. does anybody know what it could be? i feel like smashing that car into pieces with a sledgehammer and getting it over with. mad.gif

Describe the sound. Is it a clicking sound when turning (CV joint), a grinding sound (wheel bearing) or something else?

Most likely is not the cv joint. Wheel bearing would be your best bet. Does it change when turning one way? And I dont think wheel bearing is a grind. More of a whining sound

^^ I wish people would suggest tighting the wheel lugs before suggesting a bad wheel bearing.

And don't forget the 25ish MM wheel hub castle nut. You can get to it with the wheel off and a BFW (big frickin' wrench). If a BFW dosn't work, try using the BFW with a BFH.
