Hey Jaws!
Sweet looking manifold
Wonder if its avlaiable in an External wastegate setup smile.gif
I saw it listed for $599
ANyways just wondering if you had a chance to check for clearance when you installed the turbo manifold on the car. What i mean is whats the biggest Turbo you can fit before it actually hits teh Engine block or Crank sensor. The one i have now on my car i cant even fit a bigger turbo as its pretty much resting on the crank sensor 02.gif
The flange which bolts up to the turbo should of been welded on an upright angle to clear for bigger Turbos
Just wondering if a T304E or GT30 Turbo would clear without hitting the block or fans
Let me know bro
Thanks!

That debris could be lots of things. For the lazy mechanics, it could be that they didn't check the gap in the rings or the bore size. If they aren't wide enough, then when the piston expands, the rings get eaten.
Could be bearing material if they overtightened the bolts or there was debris already in the car and got into the bearings and ate them.
Lots of possibilities. sad.gif
I'll see how mine goes in the next few days.

I dont remember how much i paid for the manifold... but it definantly looks nice.
As far as the shavings,... i should be changing the oil again soon. More debris = something fvcked. So ill wait until then, since im hoping i dont see as much next time.

Did they lube the friction side of the bearings when they installed them? Could have done that on first start up. dunno.gif

Thats what im thinking... im assuming they did do it, as well thats common sense.
I wont know until the second oil change
Random gave me a bunch of fish net stuff that would make you wonder if he was looking for gold or something.
Ill be using that on the oil so ill know exactly how much crap is in the engine.

Is this the same block from the last rebuild? Thinking about it, I have to wonder if they dunked and cleaned it after the last expiration.. or just thought that they could rebuild it as it was.. if they did the latter, you might be looking at debris from when it died the last time.
