You can also get them at Advance Auto. I have yet to see a single metal flake on mine, but I'm only NA with stock internals.

I have low compression Wiseco pistons in there.

The compression numbers are consistent,... so im not worried about that. The gauge was also old, so im pretty sure i can hit 170+ on a newer gauge.

turbo gets here tomorrow

wink1.gif

Yes.. im staying with an internal wastegate.. with the turbo im using, i dont expect to push that much PSI to get where i want to go wink1.gif

As far as the head polishing.. it was a b****.. but WELL worth it..

thanx guys

Gary do you have a magnetic plug?

Yes I have a magetic plug.

I never got anything on mine.

When the motor was first started after the rebuild we let the car idle for about 20 Mins then changed the oil/filter. Then I did 500 kms changed oil/filter and then did 1000 kms and changed the oil/filter. Cut open the oil filter regulary to check for debrees so far so good.

What turbo are you using?

DEBRIS!

Ok, nitpick over...

I have had several engines built over the years.. and NEVER had a problem with junk in the oil... I hope you are not letting the same person build all your engines?

Yeah, the same guy/shop.

One of these days he'll get smart and let me build it for him. nana.gif

damn.. if I had an engine built by a shop and it blew up as quickly as yours do.. I would be damned if I would go back.. especially if it happened again.
