Default TB coolant reroute

I did my BIM/BTB install yesterday and I was planning on rerouting the coolant hoses from the throttle body, but didn't see any there. Do they litterally go through the throttle body? All the hoses I detached for the install were vacuum hoses, so I am a little confused. Can anyone help?

On the bottom of the stock TB there are two conections for coolant hoses. The run from there to the thermostat housing on the driver's side of your engine. The coolant circulates throught the throttle body. If you bought a new big bore throttle body from SR I do not beleive that they have the coolant conection nibs.

my stock TB has two holes underneath it, but they don't seem to go anywhere. Maybe I got one that doesn't have the hoses routed through the TB. Is this possible?

The coolant lines are there for cars that are going to be in extream cold so that the throttle plate doesn't freeze up!

It may be possible that your car came with out them not likely but possible you do live in so cal!

You do not need these lines hooked up to runb the car if they are there just hook them together with a small pipe and some hose clamps!

don't even need to do that. Take one off the thermostat piece entirely and loop the other one around. I just did this yesterday (been meaning to do it ever since I got the BBTB and BIM). It's a tight "U", but it will work.

good luck,

Start here, and you should see the hoses in question

I noticed an immediate increase in throttle response. Of course, I had just changed my gearbox oil and adjusted my throttle adjustment screw.

Seriously, it won't make that big a difference, but it can't hurt. It's one of those mods that does nothing at startup, (since the TB is cold then anyways), but will allow you to keep the TB cold longer into the drive, which should keep the HP up. I doubt you'd see any dyno gains.
