Default Stock IM measurement

Welcome to the site, actually, you don't need to change out your IM, just bore the opening more. The stock is at 54MM I belive.

Or you can get the airram IM.

You will have to get it matched if you want to see gains. I think the stock TB and IM are 54mm.

Doh' Posted at the same time as Redz.

Nope, 54. Most of the BBTB's are 58MM, the Rside is 59-61MM and the Turbo's are 70MM.

Are Oz spec throttle bodies different to the US spec???

On this site they reckon they're 50mm stock... Their modified BBTBs are "bored out to 55mm"!

http://www.performancestylingcentre.com.au/

Are they just mistaken? Or, as the US spec stock TB is 54mm, would I see performance gains (albeit minimal) with just a straight swap of stock throttle bodies (Oz/US) ???

With all of you guys having BBTBs I should be able to pick one up pretty cheaply...

Any thoughts?

No, they just can't afford to do another run of 100 of them without some backing. Wanna lend them 1,000,000 won?

It's possible I guess. Depends on the TB really, you sure you were reading for a 2.0? I can't see Hyundai making different ones.

According to them, both 1.8L & 2.0L TBs are the same... so, yeah I'm sure.
