Ok Socks doesn't believe I had one cat right under the manifold when my car was stock. Most RD2's have both cats so I am told, but my car only had one cat at the front. We want to know who has what on their cars. Mostly RD2's but RD1's can contribute also. If you vote please post what year you have.

Option 1:

*My actual cat that is sitting in my garage for proof*

Option 2:

*Socks stock exhuast with original SSA pipe but in stock location*

ive said this many times, and people keep doubting such. but i work on exhaust, i know what a resignator is and what a cat is. big difference.

my car (2000 tibby) had the stock cat right off the exhaust manifold, then turn down, then flex pipe, then a good 2 feet or so of pipe, then a resignator, then the over axle pipe, then a muffler.

only 1 cat in the entire set up. and it was all stock when i started on it. actually, the bolt flange from the DP back to the resignator is still oem stock. i never replaced or re-did that section.

and im pretty sure ALL rd2's in america had the cast manifold with built in cat. only the RD1's with the 1.8 had the non cat tubular bent steel manifold. ( i modded one to fit my rd2)

My 2000 has option 1. I am under the impression that some of the US cars have two cats such as ones meeting California emissions. The picture for option 2 certainly looks like a cat to me.

BTW, it's not resignator, it's resonator.

Don't understand your options, so I'll just put it out there. My RD1 AND RD2 both have both cats.

1997 REV A and a Late year 2001 Model.
