SR SplitFire or Magecor KV85
Any help here would be great... I am going for a tune up and i want to replace my Spark Plug Wires. I would like a recomendation as to whether i should go for the SR splitfire 8.8mm wires or the Magnecor KV85 wires. The Magnecor wires are about 40 to 50 dollars more give or take shipping charges. Any insight would be great. Thank all!

Plug wires will not make HP. If your engine is Loosing HP due to crappy/bad wires, then the new wires will restore the lost HP.
Any of the above choices are fine. I'm personally a fan of the MagnaCore's...
Just to complicate matters, someone is selling "Sparkco" wires for $60 on e-bay.

I got some kore wires, I like them. I don't think there's that mutch difference between them.
I know that you should steer clear of any wires sold at pep-boys, that brand has a bad rep, or so someone on this board said.
But any of the above brands should be fine.

Or you could go to the dealership and pay around $40 to $50 for stock replacement wires that are just as good as the others. There's not a whole lot that can be done to the wires to make them better(and justify the increase in cost) over what is stock.

well i'm going to have to disagree with that. Stock wires don't have copper contacts on each side. And performance wires do, they also have thicker braids and copper from connection from connection to connection. This might not increase performance, but it'll last longer and prevent resistance that might be caused by heat, deposit buildup, solar flares and midgets on trampolines.
So for $50 for stock wires, spend the extra $40 on some performance wires, get a good reliable spark, save you that .5-1hp and keep those damn midgets out of the engine bay.
And hell they look pretty wink
