Default spark plug shelf life?

I have the opportunity to get some spark plugs for dirt cheap at a closeout sale. I just changed my sparks earlier this year, is it ok to stock up on sparks? They don't go bad on the shelf, do they?

Spark plugs will last longer in their original packaging than you will.
