hmm, sounds like TPS for RPM drop when you press slightly gas pedal at the start.
change fuel filter and clean injectors.
Fuel filter should be changed like every 60,000 kms (i think), but I change it every 30,000 because of crappy gas we have in UA.
The best way to clean injectors is to remove them from the car and clean them with ultrasonic and then check them how they spra.

as i said, i tried all that, and nothing worked. i actually pulled my injectors and had them cleaned at a shop.

On the otherhand though, check and see what brand of TPS you have, and get the dealer to give you a Kiefko if you have a Daesung.
Whaa...? Webtech clearly recommends the Daesung TPS. Is Keifko the Korean TPS? What is your reasoning, I have been left in the dark on this one... =(

Nah, the TPS wouldn't have anything to do with our bogging problem.

Is there a difference in quality or something?

There is a TB (Technical bulliten) out there to replace the Daesung with the Kiefco. It's free of charge, but not a recall. The Daesung has a habit of going bad after taking it off and putting it on about 2 times. Mine went bad with my last BBTB swap, so I went in and they swapped it for me as per the TB.

Doesn't matter if it's not on there for the 2001. It's the TPS, not the model year.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS

Model
Accent 1996-1999, Elantra 1996-2000 and Tiburon 1997-2000
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS
DESCRIPTION:
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) output signal is an important input for both the Engine and Transaxle Control Modules. A malfunctioning TPS may result in the following symptoms:
Unstable idle
Uneven throttle response
Slip and shock during the 1-2 and 2-3 shift on Automatic Transaxle (ATM) equipped vehicles.
Erratic ATM shifts with possible shift flare (engine RPM increase during shifts)
Check engine light is ON (light may go off, but the code will remain stored)
TPS related code stored in the ECM and/or TCM
REPAIR INFORMATION:
If the following three conditions are met:
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is suspected
The ECM / TCM has no codes stored
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) has the words "DAE SUNG" molded on the part Then conduct the following diagnostic procedure:
Push on the side of the TPS connector, towards the dash panel. The force used should be firm enough to slightly deflect the TPS housing, but not enough to damage or break anything.
If the TPS is not operating properly, the engine will surge in response to your push.
If the Hi-Scan Pro or HDS is used to record the TPS output, the above procedure will show that the TPS output increases toward 5V when the connector is pushed.
If the ECM has a TPS related code stored (with or without the MIL on), replace the TPS.
PARTS INFORMATION:
MODEL PART NAME PART NUMBER
1996-1999 Accent
1996-1999 Elantra
1997-2000 Tiburon
TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Normal warranty operation codes and times apply.
I drive a 2001 and mine was covered. I HATE how HMAService doesn't let you link to stuff anymore.

My car did that once. It turned out I had put the mas sensor in backwards. Felt like a bit of a dumbars. Sometimes it's the little things that you would never think of.
i did that once, my car smoked out the street though, and would barely hold an idle. i cant even imagine trying to drive it like that. i had to change the plugs after that even. ran INSANELY rich.
