Shadoh: It's under the driverside dash. You can mount it anywhere by the ECU. We don't have a dyno in town. Nearest one is in Austin, little over an hour away. Who knows what they charge to dyno AND tune it at the same time.

Jaws: It does have timing control. I also got an email from a rep stating that it has a window switch for eek! ****NITROUS****. I hit one of your buttons didn't I? tongue.gif

SAFC for A/F=$300
MSD for timing adv./ret.=$320
Window switch for nitrous=$77

Total for all these items=$697

OR, you could get only the SMT+cable=$245

You do the rest of the math
Jon, I dont care were yours is, I wanna know what were Shark put his.

And I know you can put it any place you like.

What I am trying get is, did the smt5 fail on its own, or did he put it in the engine bay, which I am thinking the heta got to it.

JonGTR is correct. Under the driver's side dash near the ecu. The unit is about a 1/4" deep and is a square of 2"x2". fits pretty much anywhere.

I was there. I'd like to say that I helped him with it, but I just sat around, drank a lot of beers with him and said "Damn, that a fukload of wires!!!" I hate wires. tongue.gif

Yes Gtr, it does control ignition, but so far he has been unsuccesful in achieving this

After talks with random, i might assist you in figuring it out shark

I am strongly considering picking up an SMT

If you can please email me at animal3767@aol.com so we can discuss this

Does the SMT adjust to boost? Raise rev limiter? Any other updates?

Its been a couple of months, just wondering if you have made any additional findings with it

Well if you have any other notes you are willing to share, please email me or post here

Ill be utilizing this on both a turbo and nitrous setup

BTW... Is your dealer online? I need to source one out and have it here within 3 weeks...

Actually, he's selling it. It's in the for sale forum.
He had it installed in his 00 Tib and working ok, but he randomly decided to buy a Tib GT. So he uninstalled everything.
He still has it, so email him and see what he says.

Im trying to get in contact with perfect power and see if they will be willing to help install their smt-6 on a tiburon

The smt is about the same price (i think) and has some more options
