Default Is Sliping bad?

Hey whats up everyone, i just wanted to get a lil info on if this is normal or not , and if not what it is - when im driving like 10 mph just coasting and i give it a little gas not floored it feels like something just hit the car. Its like a BIG thump, soo i put some of this stuff called lucus slip stop in my tranny and it helped for acouple days but now its doing it again, help me hehe, i also want to get a level 10 contevter soo but i dont know if its worth it or not b/c this tranny is a piece of sh*it.

Also i got another question, if i was to get nitrous would my tranny really die or would it stay the same?

thanks fred

make sure your not low on trany fluid. As goofy as that sounds your trany will slam in gears if it's low.

Don't mention the Lucas Slip Stop, it may void your warranty.

The slamming i think is when your transmission is re-engaging power to the wheels after coasting. If it slams hard, it could be that it slips and then catches instead of smooth power add on. Get it checked dude.

Alrighty man it could be 1 of these 3 things...

1. Your ATF should be clear, not dirty brown. If it is, time for an ATF change.

2. Engine mountings, check to see if any of these are broken as in completely skwashed.

3. If you change the ATF and the problem presists, there's a damn good chance that the drive and driven plates in the tranny have been either burnt or worn beyond the service limits.

There's a lot more to these, so just add whatever the other members say to the list and check as you get the info...good luck dude!
