I have the B&M short shifter. It only took me about 15 min to install it the first time I did it. And it works great!

Is that a question?

I'm sure someone has installed it.

I'll be installing the r-side basic tomorrow, i'll let you guys know how it goes, etc...

I recommend getting new bushings from the dealership regardless, they have a tendency to wear out pretty quick, especially if you drive aggressively, live in a hot climate, etc.

Did it come with instructions? If so, scan or take a pic of them and post them, I wanna see something.

Default best paint to use

So? how did it go? When I was at the Baltimore car show, I finally got to look at a 6speed tib.. I liked the short throws on that one.. a little heavy for my tastes though... possibly intentional to slow shifting.

i have the obx shifter. it took me about 30 min to put in, but i took it for a test drive and hated it it felt like my stock one but cheaper made. it was just real loss in the gears so i just cut and welded my stock one, and put it back in and it works wonderful

Uhm, Batman?

I hate to break it to you mang, but even though you didn't like the OBX, cutting your stock one down in Height doesn't a short shifter make. It just makes it a Shorter Shifter. LOL

Follow me here...

If OEM THROW (The distance you have to move the shifter on the stock one to get it to change gears is this far...

|----------|

Than a Short Shifter lessens how far you have to move to shift, like this.

|----|

Cutting down the height doesn't affect how far you are moving very much, AND, you are also having to push harder to get it to shift now.
