Short Throw

That's the RSide Basic, not an altered stock shifter. Note the hacked up baseplate to allow for its low swing. The RSide Advanced isn't a big upgrade since yours is already installed and the hard part was done by someone else. Unless you want to adjust the height, and enjoy its incredibly sexy construction. In which case it's a huge difference. cool.gif

i wrote a DIY for that a while ago. that's the same thing but it's been polished. i left mine charred after welding. Why would you want to polish your shifter when you never see it? Anyways, it keeps your hand from hitting your coffee cup when you shift. and it dosn't look goofy as much as sporty.
DIY for shorter shifter:

^^^ um... do you read?? haha. its not modified stock and polished dude, like you said urself why would you polish it? and like I said before, its adjustable. apparently its the Rside basic according to fonseca.
why is it not a big upgrade? the throw isnt shortened much or what? obviously its not as tall, but we all know that doesnt mean a whole lot.

I meant the RSide Advanced isn't a big upgrade over the RSide Basic, it only adds better construction, lots of height adjustment and no need to modify anything to make it fit. Compared to stock, the RSB is a big upgrade indeed.
I'm one billion percent sure it's either the RSB or the Shark Racing SS, which was probably just a rebadged RSB anyway. It's not the height of the knob that makes the real difference, but the shorter throw.
One thing I always liked about the RSB was how it "looked" like it was in each gear more than the RSA. The RSA is always sorta neutralish no matter what gear you are in. Not really important though. On the bright side, that helps discourage friends from wanting to drive my tib. smile.gif
Anyway, it's no longer made, and tunershark87 should buy the RSA from kspec.com. It's worth the money, and if for some reason you don't like it, you will be able to sell it almost instantly here for $5 less than it cost you.

silentsecret... again.... READ
the pics you posted are of the rside ADVANCED, we decided I have the rside BASIC.... its not made anymore.... different things man
I can take better pics if you want... theres a lock nut for the adjustable shaft. are you telling me someone went through all the trouble to make a stock shifter adjustable? I think not. Also, the plastic is characterisically cut like the rside basic needs. And finally, fonseca seems pretty legit since he talked about how he has always liked the design of the rsb. plus he said hes a BILLION % sure!!! hahaha
