Anybody with non-OEM replacement shifter linkage bushings:
a) of what material are yours made?
b) how long have you had them in?
c) have you had any problems with them, including wear and/or degradation of the bushing, pin, or housing?
I'm toying with the idea of using either bronze (if I can find suitable stock) or aluminum pieces cut to fit, with grease. Also I could go with a very hard or just 'more firm than stock' plastics (we've got all kinds of stuff around here). Gathering opinions based on experience.

I've had the APE plastic ones in for a long time, they are great, but overpriced.
I do have a new method for doing them, for DIRT cheap, and I've already verified it works. Since I have the APE's, I don't need them, but if you want in on the deal to do the DIY for it, I'll send them to you for $12 shipped (enough to do 2.5 cars too). that's the same price I paid, plus shipping, and these parts are brand new.
So simple it'll make your head spin, and you can sell off the extras.
Let me know.

topic
"what is your experience w/ X I'm gathering opinions"
response starts out related
"my experience is abc and do you want to buy some"
then we went at least 1/2way offtopic.gif talking about
"no i can make it"
"no you can't"
"yes I can"
meh.
