ReSleveing the Block ???
I'm going turbo with my 2K Tib, but a lot of my Honda friends are saying that, I shouldn't dare going turbo without reseleving my block.
1. Question is, Does anybody out there even make stronger sleves for our cars
2. Is it really manditory to resleve the block, I'm not looking for 400WHP just something in the 260+WHP range.

I don't think we need to resleeve our blocks when going turbo. We don't have Hondas so we don't usually apply to whatever stuff they need to modify for turbo.

Not quite the same...
Honda blocks are open deck, whereas Hyundai blocks are closed deck. It's hard to explain, lemme try to find a picture of a Honda motor so you can compare:

Notice how the sleeves are not solidly BUILT into the block? This is an open-deck design. Typically the Honda guys resleeve their motors, in combination with a "block guard" device which locks the sleeves into the side of the block.

Notice the little "gear teeth" that are going around each cylinder? That's a block guard (I think that's a JG Engine Dynamics block guard, different ones look, well, different smile.gif ) Those gear-teeth things are not their stock, but they're put in aftermarket to keep those sleeves from rocking at high load and high RPM.

Question (hope this is relevant): Suppose I bore my engine to fit oversize pistons and decided to revert to stock bore. As I gather from the pics, in open-deck engines, you can just re-sleeve the cylinder. What about in our kind of motors?

Resleeve motor = $500+ USD and a 35% chance of the sleeves sinking.
Used block from ebay = $150 USD.
Your choice; I would go for the latter.
