Default R-1 Mufflers?

Anyone have or heard one of these?
They have them on Ebay for $60.
I don't want that annoying lawn mower sound like so many Civics on the road.

Thanks in advance,

I think that lawnmower sound is from not modifying your exhaust and just throwing a "performance" muffler on

They are decent mufflers one of the cheapest medallion style yet. As for the sound they shoud be tunable with an included baffle. I am getting some next week for custom project on 03 tib. They also have a carbon fiber muffler. If you want that kind of style you should get them.

OK, then I'm gonna get one.
I'm going to bring it to Mieneke.
They do performance exhaust systems now.
What size pipe should I get?
I am not sure if they do Mandrel bends.
I heard that 2.5" is a good size.

Thanks,

Ramanar, you are from Springfield just like me. I don't see many modded Tibbies here let alone Hyundai's. I drive a red 95 Elantra (licence plate DIAMBO), seen it around? Haze, be ready to loose some low end HP with a 2.5" pipe if you're N/A.

OK, then what about a 2.25 pipe?

That would be ideal.

You are right. I did lose a little torque when I put on the mufflers I have right now. But with the CAI and the mufflers it makes up for it in the 4500 to 5500 range nicely and sounds excellent. But I think that low end can be gained back when some other things come out hopefully soon. Hope to see some more modded Hyundais in Springfield. I am tired of seeing Eclipses and Integras like they have been cloned. wink
