Project Gasmilage

ok so phase 1 is completed
it consisted of doing this
installed ngk plug wires from nopi.com- 39.99
installed ngk v grove plugs from discount/advance auto 1.68 x 4
gapped plugs at .44
before i was getting about 260-300 miles per tank now im sitting at 335 miles and not quite empty yet
also there was a miss and hesitation before, that is now gone.
also feels like ive gained a small amout of hp
this is on a stock 79k engine which i still need to change the oil out of , on stock exaust and a cone filter
next im planning to do what is called a fuel induction service
-clean tb/throttle plate
-clean intake plentum
-run seafoam though engine,
-drop in abottle or 2 of toyota fuel system cleaner (i got about 20 bottles laying around)
fill up tank
after that when i get some more money i plan to install high flow cats

gonna use castrol gtw 10w40 high mileage with a wix oil filter (with is one of the best filters u can buy)
i dont want a cai because it rains so much here and roads are horribly designed (roads will retain massve puddles of water)
but i was looking at making a long short ram or relocating the battery and ill put the filter there
fuel filter goes that early in a hyundai?
toyota ones usally go past 100k
btw this is on regular gas

355 Miles is good.
I get 400+ miles on every tank of cheap regular gas with an average of 30 mpgs in a mixture of freeeway and traffic. And I have 103K on my engine.
I just poured in some Auto-Rx to the oil. I firmly believe it will boost efficiency even further.

Also, I've decide to use Shell VPower for the next 2-3000 miles and see how effective it is at cleaning the insides of the fuel system.
Next, I install my catback and headers with HF Cat. This will result in a very free flowing system. I believe that the best engine is an efficient engine.
When the time comes, I will have my head ported and polished and matched by a professional and get a new fuel filter.
My Current mods are limited to AEM's CAI + AIRRAM IM.
My advice, never drive above 60 if you want to save gas. Try to stay at a constant 55 with a light foot and minimize AC use as far as possible.
Good Luck.

I have consistantly gotten around 400 miles a tank.. and that is with some rather spirited driving, not accelerating like a grandmother (maybe not your grandmother.. mine LOVES big engined cars for a reason) but I also rarely use the air and I also rarely exceed 70mph for more than thirty seconds. (I will wind out the first three gears at WOT getting onto the highway though, just because I love listening to the CAI scream)
This on an engine with 112,000 miles on it.

/\ 400 is real nice. was that when the light came on? i just got 363 without the low fuel light but i filled up because i was scared my light blew or something, then i filled up and did the math and i got 33mpg, woot! i still wonder how many miles i could have gotten on that wonder tank, Oh it was right after i did an oil change(used castrol), recharged my airfilter, and changed plugs.
