Jaws is right, do a search for SMT-5 or Smart Tuner. You will find some info on it. But for the lazy here goes, I only explain this once,

The Apexi S-AFC only modifies the O2 signal to the fuel pump to modify the Air Fuel ratio. It will not modify ignition timing.

Apexi Makes another unit which is also a piggy back like the S-AFC. This is called the ITC. This modifies the Crank position signal used for ignition timing. You can no advance timing with a direct ignition vehicle like ours.

Now the SMT-5 is also a piggy back unit, but it is able to do the fuel, ignition and injector maps. The SMT-5 is programmable via a laptop only and is recomended to be dyno tuned just like the APEXi units. The advantage of the SMT-5 is that it does all these things and is actually cheaper than just an S-AFC or ITC unit alone. So you get twice the features for less of the price of a single APEXi unit. THe drawback to the SMT-5 is that it doesnt have a readout you can read via a screen like the APEXi units. But who really cares anyway right. Just get an AUTOMETER guage for Air/fuel ratio and you are all set. All of these pggy back units are wired into input singnals to the ECU. Making the ECU think the sensors in the vehicle are reading higher/lower than it really is. This makes them a Piggy back unit. Perfect power also makes stand alone ECU's. These totally replace the stock ECU. Just like the Haltec units. Only dont come with the wiring and stuff to totally replace factory harness. It would only replace the actual ECU unit. This is one of the reasons why the Haltec unit is so expensive. It comes with its own MAP sensor and harness. Maybe some other sensors. I don't really know. RED would be a better one to ask about that since he is running one. But he has already gone into depth on the Haltec already on this board. So I recomend doing a search for Haltec.

And as far as advertising. I don't think SR would mind since I am carring things they dont. Other than N20 Kits. Which there's is a dry ZEX kit. Mine are the wet NX kits. The zex kits as well as most other dry kits out there will not work on a Beta II engine since we don't have a fuel return line and no vacuum controlled FPR.
