What about getting it coated or using white hi-temp paint to keep the exhaust heat in?

Ya what batlord said. It looks badass, and holds up just fine against the heat. I would say that along with detailing and dressing the engine, that doing something with the heat shield is a must. It ran me 85 bucks to do it.

Heres a pic of Squirrel's (from Fxtreme) chromed hot plate. He also got the spark plug cover chromed



I had a blue hot plate, but it had to go when I got the new headers.
