Pacesetter Performance Cat-Back
#13
Short version: I installed a 1999 Pacesetter CAT back system on my 2000 Tiburon and it works and sounds great!
Long version: I purchased the Pacesetter system from Spider Automotive and I had to beg and promise them then I wouldn't return it because even Pacesetter says it doesn't fit a 2000 Tiburon.
If you check out THIS PAGE I've detailed the installation / modification process. In a nut-shell all you need to do is plug the O2 sensor with an O2 sensor plug and bolt it on.

I have it on a 2K (same as a 2k1), and had to modify the flange, and plug the O2 sensor hole. I have had no problems with the exhaust, and have been pleased with it so far. It did in fact move the peak torque curve down 1,000rpm's from stock (dyno'd the car back in Feb). It's worth the hassle, but Pacesetter is right, it won't bolt up to the 2.0 Liter Beta without modification. 1.8's have no problem whatsoever.
I've had no alignment problems or having it hit anything either like someone mentioned above.

Man I need to get out more, Pacesetter has improved alot since they first came out, and I'll be honest my statements were based on them back then, like all things they change and improve.
