Default OBD Datalogger Question

This is to Random or anyone else that has this. I need to know what the manufacturer name is on this software. And if possible, maybe a product number or sku as well. Thanx a bunch! wink.gif

www.obd-2.com

The individual that makes it is "Alex Pepper". He is his own little "cottage industry" making this part.

There is other OBD-ii data logging software out there, some require a laptop, some come with their own hand held device. However, for the price, I have YET to see anything that can match the software that alex sells.

BIG THUMPS UP on this product review.

Alex is a good guy. Every time I have a question, he's pretty cool about responding quickly. He also resent me my registration code when my laptop bombed and I had to reformat it. DOH!

It's a great tool, although I haven't had to run down any CEL's yet. Still fun to play with, though.

I origanally bought a regular ODBII code scanner for four hundred dollars but when I seen Random post this product a while back I went and ordered for myself and all I can say is it works great. You can get all the sensor reading's, run sensor test, clear the CEL, Read engine codes plus it has the cool looking graph and dashboard that you can setup with any gauge you want. If you have a laptop it is worth the money.

The software has a really low overhead. You can run it off an old 486 laptop.

I still run mine sometimes off my old 486dx4-100 laptop.

You should be able to buy a used old first generation pentium laptop for under $200. The 486's under $100
