Makes you think for a while, but I'll stick to my K&N filter, just might have to clean it more ofen.

Im definantly switching..

I feel bad for boosted engines with those crappy filters..

I think I'm going to go with that A'PEX/APEX-i filter. It's $80, but would give you the benfits of a "cone" filter but also good filtration.

delco should have their own version of a "cone" filter dont you think? I dont think they do OEM replacements only....

A little bit of my own experience from today's racing.

I have K&N cylinder filter and took it off for two runs. Made absolutely no difference, therefore I can 100% say that K&N filter does not hurt performance in any way and gives enough air!!!

Can't say the same about its filtrating abilities because I cannot test it.

Did they oil K&N filter before filtration test?

K&N filter always should be oiled. And the more dirt you have (as filter stays oiled) the more efficient filtration will be.

I remember the last time I was looking that filter that I couldn't figure out how the hell you mount the thing. There is like a wierd tubing section that goes to it if I remember right, and that costs more. I couldn't figure out how I would install it.
