NGK v-power vs BOSH 4+ platinum

Its kind of like comparing a clean, brand new fuel injector and an old dirty one.
Do they both work, yes.
Do they both provide fuel to the engine, yes.
The difference is the new one provides more fuel (the required amount to make the engine run efficent). The old/diry one still provides fuel, but is clogged and the engine is deprived of the fuel it should be reciving.
---------------------------------------------------
With spark plugs and wires, you want to compare the compitition. The point of aftermarket ignition is to provide the least amount of resistance from the distributor to the spark.
This meaning you want the spark plug that offers the least amount of resistance and same with the wires.
Just think, you could have 2-10 times more spark to your spark plug, just because you got rid of your OEM wires. Ditto with the plugs, more spark to the combustion chamber by simply replaing plugs.
End result, more fuel being burnt, better throttle response, greater fuel efficancy, and so on.

Question, do high performance spark plug wires *really* make a differece. A spark is a spark, even a slightly brighter spark is still a spark right?

Related to this, the MDS DIS-2 for our cars claims to fire for 20 degress of rotation. Do you really need the spark for that entire duration. I figured that once some of the fuel lights, it causes the rest of it to light.

Every car (stock) still has unburned fuel that leaves the exhaust valve. This unburnt fuel is reburt by the cat along with all of the exhaust gases that are reburnt by the cat, hence the importance of a cat for emmisions.
That extra spark duration continues to burn the amount of fuel that remained unburnt normally, with in turn equals better performance by the engine.

Ahh, thanks for the response croa... I have been looking at these NOLOGY wires they ahve at toysport, they even have a setup there you hit the buttom and a spark jumps from a stock wire to a point, as well as from a NOLOGY wire to a point, and of course the NOLOGY ones if like 5 times brighter, and theres like 50 spraks jumping instead of one....
