New computer/fuel system??

Ok.. So i was thinking that maybe we could talk to someone about making a kit to highly modify the ECU system and fuel system (not so much the fuel tho)..
What if there was a kit that could have freeze plugs (or something like that, threaded plugs w/e) to plug the sensor ports on the block head.. Have someone custom make a new ECU to handle the management of the fuel to basically get rid of CEL's, knock sensor, things like that and have it completely programmable, timing, fuel mixture, fuel curve, everything.. Then have a "dummy" image that runs for OBD2 emissions? I mean, all it would be is a sophisticated car computer and the gains from it would be unreal, especially w/ FI..
Easier way to think/look @ it is the older v8's.. You get an aftermarket injection system for the older carbureted v8's, new ignition box, and you have no emissions problems and performace that blows stock away.. Just a thought, probably wouldnt ever be done, but would be neat..
