this is the dumbest thing you can do with a beta. the guys in korea, with all out race cars -- no cat, quad throttle body, race fuel, stand alone ecu, etc... -- are only getting about 190whp. the beta is not an n/a engine. for the money you'll dump into n/a parts, get a turbo. the only parts that you'll buy for n/a mods that will benefit you if you get a turbo are cams and an exhaust. these will just let your engine breathe the boost better. i thougth about going all-out n/a, but then realized i've already dumped way too much money into n/a mods for, what, 8-12hp?

well, hot damn, i've hit 300 posts. umm, that does nothing for me, now that i think about it. i guess maybe 400 might get me all excited, but most likely not.

Cat cams are known to put down 12whp. An Safc would be good to tune down the fuel on the high end. The tiburon runs very rich above 3000rpms when at WOT.
BIM and BTB with a some Headers and free flowing exhaust and cai.
I think you can hit 150whp easy. Beyond that it will get hard.
You would need to look into head work, high compression pistons like 13:1

No, N/A won't make great power, but it is a completly viable option. The Vast majority of our members are N/A, and they will remain N/A. Are you calling all of them "Dumb"?
With the "typical" bolt ons and mods, about 150 to the wheels is the best you can hope for.
If you want to built up a 100% "race" motor, then you can hit up to 215 WHP with an "all out" N/A setup.(this would NOT be a daily driver kind of engine)

It would also be a bore/stroker to 2.2 or 2.3 liters (cannot remember which), would have static compression in the mid teens (13:1), would idle at about 2,000 RPM's and would eat only VP104 race gas.
A 150whp setup will cost you around $3500. Cams, headwork, IM, TB, CAI, header, full exhaust and free-flow catalyst, the electronics needed for fuel and ignition management, etc.
Been there, done that.
A turbo kit for $3500 would net you around 220 wheel horsepower, essentially the limit on the stock differential.
Which would you prefer?

I would prefer a turbo...ok heres the next question...i kno this probably sounds stupid...but i want something to add a little bit for now..so i have the intake..now im gonna buy headers and exhaust...can i just use a manifold for now instead of headers? Please dont beat me for askin that question...

aoshi, for 215 n/a whp, you basically need: quad-throttle body, stand-alone computer, race fuel, bore/stroked to 2.2L or 2.3L like red said, some big, lumpy cams, and you might need to run a dump car (no exhaust manifold) like some of the drag cars wink , plus some other **** i can't remember.
