You need to make sure there is no Evap Canister in the fenderwell for the 96 Elantras. Since the 97 tibs (A-SPecs) had them there and tibs are based on elantras, I would find that out first before preceeding
Well, so much for that idea. It does have the canister in the fenderwell. I guess I'll just custom make one and have it run down between the battery and trans.

There are several problems with the Weapon-R(ice) "ram air" setup.
#1. You need to put that pickup horn in a high pressure location. Only one available is UNDER the front bumper of the car.
#2. That "dryer hose" piping they use is HORRIBLE at air flow. Even if you did ram 100mph air IN, I would bet less than 25mph air would come out the other end.
#3. The "air horn" end attachment is improperly shaped, and is also only 2" inner diameter.
#4. The "ram air" cover that goes over the filter does not seal. Around the outside edge there is a .25" gap between the filter base and the "ram air" cover. If by some fluke you got pressureized air to the filter, it would just rush out the .25" gap around the filter base.
#5. The same .25" gap I was talking about above? It sucks in HOT ENGINE AIR!!! It's much easier for the air to travel 2" up that .25" gap than it is for it to enter the tiny air horn, down 6' of dryer hose, and then into the filter. 90% of your air is coming from the gap around the "ram air" cover. If you don't belive me, block off the "horn" with a tennis ball. Then drive around. You'll notice no decrease in performance. Why? 90% of the air is coming in through that gap in the housing.
#6. The "foam" filter Weapon-R uses sucks rocks at filtration. Remove the filter and look inside your maf. Notice all the dirt?
Dump the weapon-r and go with something decent. If you go with a foam filter, go with HKS only. And for $80, the HKS filter is just not worth it.
Which intake specifcally are you interested in making? Can you re-post the photo or tell us who posted the original photo in this thread?

Lol I found this hilarious because bigfishmoney's mood is Amused because he revived a 10 year old thread, and Turboron_99's mood is murderous because he did that.
