My New Exhaust!

Well, I finally got an exhaust system for my car! The stock equip was really taking a beating from the headers I put in two years ago. This is a little different setup then most people do, but I like the sound and the power gains from it. Here it is!
It has a high flow cat with 2 glass packs. I went with 2 1/4" piping. The first glass pack is 32" and the second is 12" and is located near the tailpipe.
I'll see if I can get some sound bites in and out of the car. Its really not as loud as you would think not having a typical muffler on the car. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Oh yeah, parts and labor came to $430.00. Let me know what you think!

Can you take a pic from it being on the ground, easier to tell what the tip looks like, seems kinda expensive because my cat back was 290, but that dosent have the cat like yours, still have both stocks

Here are a few more pics. Will try to get some sound clips up tonight. I am actually taking the car back in to get the tip a little more level and pushed in about 1.5 inches. I was looking for a "stealthy" look, I think it will be better when he re-positions the tip. My favorite view so far is the first one.
The tip is actually from a corvette. I'm not sure what year. Its a full custom exhaust. The guy that did the work works for a muffler and brakes shop, but he did this for me out of his garage for cash.
I had no idea either that they made resonators that large. Its probably meant for a large truck, but I like the application here! laugh.gif
As far as power gains, well, I was just looking at maintaining what I have. Before the new exhaust, I had installed headers and removed the Cat. So... headers, no cat, stock exhaust. NOW, I have headers, high flow cat, and free flow exhaust. It pretty much evens out, maybe a little more power and sounds a lot better! We actually tried it with no cat. It was WAAAAY loud and it moved my powerband really high, like 4000 to 6500. I lost quite a bit of low end torque, but damn, the top end felt like a V-Tec! It pulled REALLY hard from 4000 to redline. If I was 18 and didn't care, I probably would have liked that. But since I'm older and a little more mature( lmao.gif ), I went with the legal alternative!
