What I don't get about these products is - if they aren't a scam and do produce boost, how come you don't need a fuel tuner/ECU upgrade/piggyback/whatever?

That also goes for the one by Knight which REDZ posted: they say it produces 5-6 psi of boost, and "most modern fuel systems and ignitions work well with the ESC at full throttle." I've never seen anyone boosting 5-6psi through whatever means without any fuel system upgrades.. Don't get me wrong, that one actually looks like it could do something, it's not just a fan, but I don't see how you could get enough out of it with stock fueling..

 

Our stock fuel system will get you to about 5 psi depending on what elevation you live at. Not the safest of ways to do it but it can be done.

 

If you want intake power get a CAI and a 1.8l cam. That will give you probably around 10hp. That's about the most hp/$ there is for us. You can get that for around $100, so that's about 10$ per horse. Not a bad gain considering a GOOD turbo kit will cost around $4000 and get you lets say 100 extra horse power. That's about $40 a horse.
