Nice! Congrats!
I hope it's not just the turbocharger and you're expecting him to install it and make it work LOL
Is it a kit? What is it?

Interesting thread..... I'd like to see pictures of what exactly your doing. A turbo is great, but your missing about $3000 worth of supports, is that part of the bday present too?

i always love action scenes!

If we need to give your boy advice, chances are hes not gonna want to even try and do this on his own with NO experience.
You got the turbocharger... fing02.gif do you know what kind of turbo? that could deteremine what other parts youll need
What about...
Intercooler?
Piping?
BOV?
Clutch?
Injectors?
Fuel pump?
Fuel Management?
Gauges?
Exhaust?
Manifold?
just to name a few and the list could go on and onnnnnn

PS..you sure the turbo isnt HIS and he just said it was yours so you wouldnt yell at him for spending money? when all you really get is a CAI?

^^ dittoo..

yeah, a turbocharger is great and all, but its only about 1 of 30-50+ individual parts you need to turbo your car. lets say your turbo cost 600$. multiply that by about 5 and that will be the total cost of a good turbo system..

yup about 3000$.

what turbo did your boyfriend buy you? and where from?

you can actually turbo your car for sub 2000s IF you chose your parts wisely and get good deals. I'm working on helping a local guy turbo his GK tib and should all come out to the tune of 2500 with a GOOD fuel management system intercooler, everything.

it all depends on each persons version of a GOOD, COMPLETE kit. and what parts you use or deals you get. a good rough estimate of a mediocre, quality kit is around 3000$ all said and done.
