Ok, i was talkin to a bud and he was telling me that the engine in my 2000 tiburon ( 2.0Ldohc) is a knock-off of the mitsubishi 2.0L in the eclipse ( i believe 95-99). how similiar are these engines? on the outside they look the same, except one thing i noticed was my tibby had an extra sensor on the intake. now if the engines are similiar, will aftermarket parts/turbos work for my tibby. if so, this would be great because there are many more aftermarket parts made for eclipse's than tibby's ( i dont know why).

 

Please duck as everyone else is about to throw things at you. Early Hyundai motors were based on Mitsu engines. Your Beta Hyundai is nothing like the Mitsu motor. They may look the same from the outside but the enternal parts are extremely different.
If they were the same everyone here would be using those parts on their cars. With the possibillity of a few exceptions you will not be able to use aftermarket parts from the mitsu on your car.

speaking of mitu turbo i can happly say
that the other day i raced a gs-t and all the way i was his front fender to my hood. he pulls up to light and says what the f*** do you have in that hyundai.my response of course was "a lill some some"
