i just want to familarize myself a little more about timeing and ignition timeing and such.

Has anybody checked to see if the Mitz Eclipe Cams will work in the 2.0L Tibs?

They do not. They use 2 BELT driven cam gears. The Tibby uses 1 belt driven cam gear and 2 Chain driven sprokets.

ICE3X-
Pick up "modern Engine Tuning" or "Performance 4stroke tuning" both by A. Graham Bell. They both cover cam timing.

Supercharging, TurboCharging & Nitrous Oxide Performance Handbook
By Earl and Diane Perkins-Davis

This book looks thin, but it is EXCELENT! It is written in an easy to understand style. Loads of explinations and definitions.

I HIGHLY reccomend this book for ANYONE considering Turbo, S/C or Nitrous.
