Installed a RSide Advanced Short Shifter like 5 months ago right before the car into a 3way wreak(Front, Back, Passenger side). Was driving the car for the first time since then afew days ago and I noticed that even while in gear the shifter still wobbles side to side as if it were in neutral! Theres no firmness to it at all. tongue.gif

Whats the deal?

Just installed mine too. The same thing is happening. No accidents though.

Quite disappointing. Is there a fix other than the DIY?

Check to see if you spring is hooked up the right way... I had that problem and found out that the spring was backwards (thanks again REDZ wink1.gif )

I'm considering just putting the stock one back in and just cutting it down.

Try putting your stock back in and see if you still have the same problem... if you do... then its something from the accident and there could be something loose in your cables or trans

Even the OEM shifter has the same wobble in neutral. It's just a poorly designed shifting assy, not to mention it's all plastic down there.

Check out my DIY and make sure everything is in the right place and that your plastic spacers are not worn.

no, the wobble in neutral is ok, it wobbles while in gear!
