Like i said the Knock sensor is located in the block. THis sensor is an aid to the knock sensor. It is there to tell the ecu when there is alot of movement through the suspension. This way the knock sensor in the block will not confuse the vibration of the car going over bumps as engine knock.

Like I said it is not a knock sensor, but, an aid to the sensor.

The acceleration sensor is used to sense rough road conditions. The sensor's signal is used by the Engine Control Module (ECM) to prevent wrongful misfire detection.
This is taken from the Hyundai webtech page.

Airbag sensors are located in the bumpers

You can go there and read on it yourself. Just do a search for sensors on webtech. It is called the acceleration sensor.

I know you were trying to help, you actually did a great job on clearing up the issue. Red was also trying to help, just as you were. I'm not sticking up for one or the other, I'm just saying........swallow your pride bro, it ain't that hard to do, especially on the Internet.

Love your fellow Hyundai owner and have a round on me!!
