INTERNAL DAMAGE PIX
This post spawned from a previous post on how I could tell if my block was damaged or cracked and how could I check for that.
These pix are the inside, internal parts of my 2.0 liter Tiburon engine, and block.
If ya have a slow connect speed it will take a little while to view, because I left these pix MASSIVE for closeup examination purposes.

Well I got ran off the road by another car, hit a curb and ran over a telephone junction box that sticks out the ground (the green four feet high ones). I backed out off the curb and started to drive home cause other than the cars rims and steering being jacked up the car seemed fine.
I was wrong however
There was a puncture in the oil filter which let all the oil slowly drain out as I drove home. Then my tibby locked up and died. The EnD
But its all good cause Im getting all new internals for a turbo setup, and I have learned a lot of things taking the engine out by myself. And with the help of BottleFedHyundai, and all of you guys.

from the pics the block itself looks ok, but to be sure bring it to a GOOD engine shop and have them take a look at it
you need at least to turn down the cran and two new connecting rods...
you didn't hear a knocking noise before it locked up?

did you say knocking??? I wouldn't know anything about that suicide Was the worst thing to hear, but hey I got an all new engine under warranty! My oil light came on way to late- my oil pressure regulator shattered- and all I could here was my car crying as I pulled to the side of the road.
