ive had my intake since last may03, and ive had this noise come from my motor ever since. My aunt is a mechanic and said it makes that noise b/c i have a diffearnt intake? anyone know what iam talking about?

 

what kind of noise? Yes, an intake will be louder than stock.. much. upon startup, you can hear mine sucking air through the filter.. at cruise it is kind of quiet.. if I open the throttle partially at low RPMs I get a growl and at WOT near the top of the RPM range.. she screams....

 

Yeah, that sound is normal and a plus for a CAI. Throaty growl as it sucks in the air and resonates the sound of your engine. No more plastic baffles...

Argghh... Ar ar arghh...

 

exactly... perfectly normal... kind of reminds me of carbs in a way... but not quite. there is NOTHING like the sounds of four weber troats sucking down air and fuel.

 

not the performance noise, it sounds very weird on my motor like towards the opposite side of my intake like a whooshing sound. shock.gif
