I just bought a new grommet at lowes, in the hardware trays. CHeck that out if the new one still doesn't fit quite right.

Dude, she cut it at the wires? Big deal, see the little metal clip around the base of the IAT? Looks like a paperclip bent around it? Push on the long flat part of it and the IAT comes out. Do the same with the one in your car and swap them.

ALL of the connectors in the engine bay have those releases.
