I have no idea where to post this but bare with me...

I own a 1997 hyundai with a 1.8l in it. The past few days I have noticed a bit of hesitation and a bit of valve tick ( i have no idea if this has to do with the problem, just letting you guys know the whole situation). I checked the oil, made sure there enough in it. Then a few days ago, i open my door, keep it open and place the key in the ignition. No noise, no interior lights.....i didn't think much of it at the time. Then, tonight i get out of class early, go to my car, turn it on and notice a check engine light flashing at me..So i pull out my OBD2 scanner i have for work and check the code.. Cylinder 4 misfire. Once i read it, i hear a click like an electrical current grounding...you know the tick. I then turn the car back on, no interior lights work, odometer stopped reading and speedo doesn't work either. The check engine light kicked on, then off.

I have no idea about electrical and thought that might be the problem. PLEASE HELP BEFORE I TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW.

take it to a auto electrician asap instead of a dealership.

it could be anything that's at fault that needs to be checked and replaced.
from my car I've had those similar symptoms and all the faults are different.

knock sensor broken
alternator faulty
connectors to the alternator broken
cam gear sensor broken
coil pack broken
battery needed to be replaced.
